John Selekta is a versatile DJ and Producer whose extensive career spans a broad spectrum of genres including house, techno, tech, breaks, hip hop, and turntablism. Known for his technical prowess, John has been captivating audiences since 1985, bringing a finely honed skill set to every performance. His early days of DJing saw him splicing mixtapes and mastering scratching techniques on a hi-fi system, a testament to his dedication and ingenuity.

Today, John relies on his trusted SL1210s and DVS/Phase setups, but his creative process also flourishes in his home studio where he produces music under his moniker, Sacred Science. His debut 12” vinyl release came in 2000, marking the beginning of a prolific career in music production. John has since collaborated with various labels, contributing music and remixes to the dance music scene. His recent work features on the VA: Repeat 2xCD compilation, alongside notable artists such as Humanoid, LFO, Altern8, and even snooker legend Steve Davis.

Beyond his contributions to dance music, John also shines at Hip Hop events, performing with the Zip Tie Hi Fi Sound System in Devon, UK. His dedication to the craft is evident in every scratch and mix, making him a celebrated figure in both the dance and hip hop communities.
