Sorry, there is nothing for the moment.
From the moment Gareth got his hands on his first set of Technics 1210 decks at the age of 17, his life has been a rhythmic adventure. What began as a bedroom hobby quickly evolved into a deep-seated passion for dance music. The early 90s London dance scene fueled his obsession, and after spinning at friends’ parties and local gigs, Gareth’s musical taste honed in on house and UK garage—genres that were dominating London’s nightlife at the time.
His journey through the club scene began with stints on pirate radio and regular gigs across North-East London, where his sound evolved to embrace house and trance. Drawing inspiration from legends like Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, and John Digweed, Gareth’s sets began to reflect the evolving landscape of electronic music.
After relocating to Plymouth, Gareth’s career took a significant leap when he crossed paths with Jim TC and Steve Bell, co-owners of ‘Needle to the Groove’ record shop and ‘The Candystore’ nightclub. Gareth quickly became a driving force in promoting The Candystore, which he considers the pinnacle of Plymouth’s nightlife.
Settling in South Wales, Gareth took the Cardiff club scene by storm, gracing iconic venues like ‘Liquid’ and ‘Life’ with his eclectic mixes. His involvement in Cardiff’s vibrant nightlife allowed him to promote major UK events such as Cream, Slinky, Sundissential, and Moneypennys, while also hosting regular radio broadcasts for Kiss 101 FM and BBC 1xtra. In 2005, Gareth’s skills extended to festival management, where he helped orchestrate the Fresh City Arena’s Escape into the Park, attracting over 20,000 enthusiastic revelers.
Following his tenure at Liquid, Gareth moved to ‘Evolution’ nightclub in Cardiff Bay, where he spent two years curating memorable events including Gatecrasher, Godskitchen, Escape, and Time Flies.
Today, Gareth continues to be a prominent figure in the DJ and event promotion scene. Whether he’s spinning at Houseaholics events, the Sunset Sessions at Widemouth Bay, or the renowned 360° bar in Dubai, his passion for music is unwavering. He also proudly serves as a resident DJ on Portsmouth Underground Radio, sharing his love for the craft through his Friday night shows on Mixcloud Live and other platforms, connecting with fans around the world and spreading his infectious enthusiasm for dance music.
